Systems Engineer

Description:

The Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Additional Information

  • 6 years hands on experience as Systems Engineer or Administrator; or a 4-year degree in a relevant field of study (i.e. Computer Science or Information Systems) and 2 years equivalent work experience.
  • Proven excellence in planning, implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Server (2000 & 2003).
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Exchange Server (2000 & 2003).
  • Advanced Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, or MCDBA) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server 2000. Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentational skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language; to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly; to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be highly self motivated and directed with good analytical and problem-solving abilities and very strong guest service skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • The job duties will require operation of motor vehicles. As a requirement of employment a clean driving record that is acceptable to Table Mountain Casino’s insurer is mandatory.
